RIPO Engineering designs and builds low-flow sampling pumps for environmental consultants and laboratories. Everything we make does one job well: draw soil gas and soil vapour through a sorbent tube at a controlled rate, and record exactly how much was sampled.
Founded in 2007
The company started in a workshop in Rødovre, just outside Copenhagen, when our founder — a consultant tired of unreliable field equipment — set out to build a pump he could actually defend on a chain-of-custody form. Nearly two decades later we are still a small, engineering-led team, and every pump is assembled and calibrated in Denmark.
What we build
Carbon-tube sampling pumps with closed-loop flow control, automatic volume dosing and an on-board run log. They are compact enough to carry between boreholes all day, field-serviceable, and shipped with a calibration certificate traceable to a national standard.

How we work
Precision and traceability come first. A soil gas result is only defensible if the flow held steady and the volume is known, so those are the things we measure, regulate and log. We keep the mechanics simple enough to strip and service in the field, and we support equipment for as long as it is in use — not just for a warranty period.
